GLOBAL Page 15 2019 MEA Conference Surpasses Goals! The 2019 Middle East & Africa Conference & Exhibition at the Dubai World Trade Centre, which took place 16-18 April, was an international success. With delegates, speakers and sponsors in attendance from around the world, the MEA Conference was a global industry platform for invaluable networking and ICT/extra-low voltage (ELV) knowledge attainment. More than 500 delegates from 32 countries attended the event themed, "From AI to Zettabytes: A Connected Future!" The conference featured keynotes, a panel discussion on the future of ICT/ ELV integration, and technical presentations by international experts on topics such as how artificial intelligence (AI) is being deployed in data centers and other ICT/ELV facilities around the world. Wednesday's keynote speaker, Mark Acton, Independent Consultant and Non-Exec Director of Ekkosense in the United Kingdom, reminded attendees that, "The requirement and expectation for 'Always on' affects the way we should build and manage our critical infrastructure…" Eugene Seah, CEO, Founder and Chief Coach at Trainium in Singapore, delivered Thursday's keynote presentation. Known for his entertaining, engaging and inspirational lectures about growth mindset and future-readiness, Eugene shared his wealth of experience in regional sales and leader- ship in the financial industry.
