GLOBAL Page 14 CO MI NG TO LO N DO N THIS J U N E More than 350 attendees took part in BICSI Day Guatemala on 21 February 2019. The full-day event included nine technical presentations, a local, modified version of the BICSI Cabling Skills Challenge and ample networking opportunities. Subject matter covered a range of topics including digital transformation and IoT, future fiber optic technologies, next generation PoE, intelligent buildings and others. The BICSI CALA District held its first webinar on 7 March 2019, titled "Intelligent Buildings." Based on the webinar's success, BICSI CALA plans to organize a webinar to open each conference taking place in their district. Event Recap BICSI Day Guatemala Webinars to Open Future CALA Events New Costa Rica Country Chair CALA DISTRICT Over 20 exhibiting sponsors represented all segments of the ICT industry and offered a glimpse of some of the newest and most advanced technologies on the show floor. This was the first BICSI event held in Guatemala in many years, and based on its success, more will be planned here in the future.
