More than 350 attendees took part in BICSI Day Guatemala
on 21 February 2019. The full-day event included nine technical
presentations, a local, modified version of the BICSI Cabling
Skills Challenge and ample networking opportunities. Subject
matter covered a range of topics including digital transformation
and IoT, future fiber optic technologies, next generation PoE,
intelligent buildings and others.
The BICSI CALA District held its first webinar on 7 March 2019, titled
"Intelligent Buildings." Based on the webinar's success, BICSI CALA plans
to organize a webinar to open each conference taking place in their
district. Thank you to all who attended the webinar, and to those who
made it happen.

Over 20 exhibiting sponsors represented all segments of the
ICT industry and offered a glimpse of some of the newest and
most advanced technologies on the show floor. This was the
first BICSI event held in Guatemala in many years, and based
on its success, more will be planned here in the future.
