ike and Sindy Neubauer understand what it means to feel irretrievably lost, to flounder
through life adri and desperate. ey have experienced the desolation of poverty, the devastation
of shaered home lives, the chaos of substance abuse, and the brutal effects of violence.
Many people might have said that the Neubauers were a "lost cause," too far gone to be helped,
and too broken to be mended. In fact, Sindy and Mike sometimes believed the same.
It's a far cry from the way their lives are today – a metamorphosis that they
aribute to the undeserved forgiveness of God's mercy.
"I'm a living example that people can change," Mike says maer-of-factly.
"If he helped me, he can help anyone."
