Day 1: Arrive Vancouver (D) Welcome to Canada! You will be met at Vancouver International Airport and transferred to your hotel. This evening, meet your Tour Director and fellow travellers for a welcome dinner. Two Night Stay: OPUS Hotel. Day 2: Vancouver Sightseeing (HB) You're Invited: This morning, travel to Grouse Mountain and take the skyride to the top. Head to the habitat of resident grizzlies Grinder and Coola and learn about their lives before partaking in a bear inspired breakfast. Afterwards, visit the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park where you can make your way across this spectacular suspension bridge, and join the award winning Treetops Adventure along a series of elevated walkways. Continue on a sightseeing tour including Stanley Park with its intricately carved totem poles, Gastown and the waterfront area. Finish with an enthralling visit to the 4D virtual reality experience of FlyOver Canada. Day 3: Rocky Mountaineer – Kamloops (FB,L) Set off on a two day rail experience on "The Most Spectacular Train Journey in the World". Settle back in your SilverLeaf carriage (upgrade to GoldLeaf at additional expense) and enjoy incredible views of the surroundings. Enter the Fraser Valley then follow the Thompson River towards Kamloops. Overnight Stay: Kamloops Hotel (as assigned by Rocky Mountaineer). Day 4: Rocky Mountaineer – Jasper (FB,L) Continue your journey on board the Rocky Mountaineer into the soaring, rugged snow- capped mountains. Marvel at the beauty of the glaciers, lakes and forest sitting at the foot of these grand mountains and see Canada's highest peak, the awesome 3954 metre Mount Robson. The day's end finds us in Jasper National Park, an alpine wonderland of pristine wilderness and abundant wildlife. You're Invited: Tonight, meet our resident naturalist Don Enright who will accompany you throughout your journey to Victoria. His knowledge will astound, his stories will regale and his passion will inspire you. There is no better way to enhance your journey of this region than to be joined by such a renowned specialist. Enjoy a welcome reception where you'll get to know Don. Two Night Stay: Chateau Jasper or The Crimson. Day 5: Jasper and surrounds (FB,HD) Jasper is a relaxed town surrounded by wilderness and wildlife. This morning, we journey to the picturesque Pyramid Lake which is surrounded by an amphitheatre of mountains and forest. Known as being a haven for wildlife we have the unique opportunity to take a canoe adventure on the lake. Keep your eye out for osprey, loons, muskrat, and beaver, but aside from this, this is a renowned birding area and there is even the possibility of seeing moose, bear, elk, deer, and wolves! You're Invited: In the early evening, we drive up to one of the best wildlife spotting places in the region. The road to Maligne Lake follows a valley passing numerous lakes and viewpoints finishing at this gem of the Rockies, the stunning Maligne Lake. Keep your eye out for wildlife as you are taken on a guided walk of the trails around the lake before settling in for dinner with a postcard view. Day 6: Icefields Parkway – Glacier 'Ice Explorer' – Lake Louise (FB,L,D) Depart Jasper and travel along the Icefields Parkway, acclaimed as one of the most incredible journeys in the world. Make a stop at the Columbia Icefield, North America's largest sub-polar ice pack where you'll climb aboard the mighty 'Ice Explorer' for a once- in-a-lifetime journey onto the 300 metre thick Athabasca Glacier. Finish the day at the famous 'Diamond in the Wilderness', the beautiful Lake Louise where we will stay in one of the Rockies most stunning and historic properties. Spend time soaking up the views, relaxing and exploring this iconic lake. Overnight Stay: Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Day 7: Lake Louise – Banff (FB,HD) Bid farewell to Lake Louise and make our way to Yoho National Park that houses the spectacular Natural Bridge, which has been carved by the Kicking Horse River, and the glacier fed Emerald Lake so called due to the vibrant colour of its water.
