38 I ICT TODAY 38 I ICT TODAY This post construction report should include: • Written verification that the integrated systems have been installed in accordance with approved design documents • Listing of the individual systems tested • The scope and purpose of each system tested • Documentation of systems required by codes and standards • Test team members and others in attendance during testing • Test equipment used during testing • Comprehensive functional matrix describing all system inputs and associated output functions and purposes • List of drawings including riser diagrams and control diagrams • The extent of systems tested under the direction of the commissioning agent • Verification that the proper staff and occupants are fully trained on the installed systems Commissioning begins early in the project and extends through all phases of design and construc- tion. In order to verify that the access control system continues to operate as designed and expected, periodic follow-up visits by the installers involved in the commis- sioning process can assist in resolving any post occupancy performance issues. The growth projections of the access control market show no signs of slowing, and as more individual systems are integrated into security systems, commissioning will become even more valuable to educated owners. 7.
