Counseling Ser vices is located in the Student Center (SC ) 108, and is open Monday through Thursday from 8:0 0 a.m. to 6:0 0 p.m; and Friday from 10:0 0 a.m. to 4:0 0 p.m. Summer hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:0 0 a.m. to 5:0 0 p.m. and closed on Friday. Ser vices provided by the counseling facult y include: Educational Counseling A ssist students by providing suppor t and guidance in areas such as: balancing life, work and school demands; study strategies; coping with test and math anxiet y; and set ting meaning ful educational and career goals. Personal Counseling Involves meeting with students from diverse back grounds on a wide range of personal issues that af fec t student success. Career Counseling A ssist students to explore their values, interests, skills, streng ths and personalit y, in the development of the career decision-making process. Assessment Provide assessment inventories and interpretation to assist students with self- discover y and career exploration. Referral Provide information and referral to campus resources or outside agencies for assistance with personal concerns that may require long-term counseling or ps ychotherapy treatment options. Consultation & Training Counselors strive to promote student success and foster a positive learning environment by providing consultation and training for SCC facult y and staf f. Classroom Instruction Each semester Counseling Facult y teach courses in personal, educational, and career development. They range from personal awareness to skill development. These one, t wo, and three credit courses are of fered both day and evening. Culinary Arts Dining Rooms 480.423.6284 https://www.scottsdalecc.edu/programs/culinary-arts The Culinar y Ar ts Depar tment operates student-run dining facilities for both lunch and dinner during the fall and spring semesters. Located in the Applied Sciences Building on the nor theast area of campus, the Ar tichoke Grill features an à la car te luncheon menu Wednesday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:0 0 p.m. with prices ranging from $3.50 to $7.95. The Deser t Oasis is open Wednesday through Friday from 6:0 0 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and ser ves a complete four- course menu ranging from $26 -$30 plus beverage and tax. Our menus, which change weekly, feature American Regional culinar y creations. Disabilit y Resources and Ser vices strives to empower students, foster independence, and promote achievement of realistic career and educational goals. Students who wish to receive academic accommodations are required to contac t the DR S of f ice and follow an intake eligibilit y process prior to receiving accommodations.
