BLACKBERRY BASIL & RICOTTA PIZZA In foodie friend circles, there is a persnickety debate about the difference between pizza and flatbread. We hate to get caught up in the nuances that separate these two cuisines, so we will cut right to the chase. Both involve a bread base, cheese, and a wide range of toppings, including both sweet and savory options. However, flatbread is thinner, crispier and rectangular in shape with a lighter fanfare of toppings than pizza. According to some, even thin- crust pizza should be thicker and chewier than flatbread, which should have a much more crusty, crumbly texture. Despite the subtle differences, one thing is for sure -both pizza and flatbread are delicious and perfect for summer entertaining or a great dinner option for the family. Enjoy a few of my favorite recipes but remember, flatbread or pizza can be as simple or creative as you want… let your imagination be your guide. Now go on… get cooking!
