Remington model 1911 r1 carry & New Handguns for DEFENSE SPORT Handguns are more popular today than ever before. In preparation for virtually anything that comes their way – danger, a day at the range or in the gamefields – men and women are scrambling to obtain concealed weapon permits. From "hog leg" .50 calibers to sleek designs that fit comfortably under a t-shirt, the hottest new handguns are featured here along with the companies who are setting the standard for technological advancements in firearms and accessories. Browning: Browning Buck Mark rimfire pistols lead the industry in quality, reliability, accuracy and variety. Every Buck Mark Camper UFX starts out as a solid piece of aircraft-grade 7075 aluminum alloy and then is CNC machined to exacting tolerances. The crisp, single-action trigger, hand-reamed chamber, target-crowned barrel and finely adjustable sights mean the Buck Mark comes ready for fun. The textured surfaces are comfortable and secure in any condition, while the narrow profile makes it perfect for all hand sizes. The Colt Custom Shop will offer a package that's built around the same pistol carried by the Marines. The O1070CQB is based on a stainless steel Colt Rail Gun with a Desert Tan Cerakote finish and fitted with a five-inch National Match barrel that ensures the best possible accuracy. A set of Novak Tritium Night Sights is mounted atop the slide. (www.colt.com) Kahr: Kahr has introduced another addition to its double-action, micro-compact pistol line – the CW380. The new .380 ACP caliber is substantially smaller than Kahr's popular PM9, making it ideal for concealed carrying. Overall length is just 4.96 inches; height is 3.9 inches; and it's equipped with a 2.58-inch barrel. It weighs 10.2 ounces without the magazine. The pistol has a black polymer frame and features 4140 steel inserts molded into the front and back for added rigidity. It has a lock breech, modified Browning-type recoil lug, and incorporates all seven Kahr patents, including the "safe cam" action found in all Kahr pistols.
