Conducted by NSF (www.nsf.org, 734 769 8010). supplier news Catalent to open clinical supply facility in 2020 SOM ER SET, NJ — Catalent, a pharmaceutical CDMO, will invest $9 million in a new clinical supply facility in San Diego, CA, that is scheduled to open in the summer of 2020. The 24,257-square-foot facility will special- ize in services for early-phase clinical trials and offer full clinical supply ser- vices to pharmaceutical and biophar- maceutical clients. Site capabilities will include clinical supply manage- ment, primary and secondary packag- ing, complex labeling services, clinical storage, distribution, drug returns and destruction, and stability chambers. PCI invests in clinical facility in Dublin DUBLIN, Ireland—PCI Services has invested in a 75,000-square-foot clinical facility near Dublin that will increase the company's capabilities and capacity as well as serve as a cen- ter for primary and secondary pack- aging, storage, logistics, and distri- bution. The expansion will include additional controlled room tempera- ture and cold chain storage capa- bilities as well as clinical packaging services. In this role, Woelfel will continue to advance the perfor- mance of the expanded Greenville site, which includes an oral solid dose commercial manufacturing facility. In addition, the company also hired more than 20 analytical chemists and formulation scientists to support the growing business. Peter Spinelli joined MG Amer- ica, Fairfield, NJ, as director of sales and marketing. He will oversee all sales and marketing activities for the company's processing and packaging division. Spinelli previously worked at Robert Bosch Packaging Technology as sales director and site manager. NSF International, a global health and safety organization based in Ann Arbor, MI, promoted David Trosin f rom global director of business development to general manager of the organization's dietar y supple- ments and functional beverage cer- tification program, Global Retailer and Manufacturer Alliance audit ser- vices, cosmetic services and pharma- ceutical packaging.
