What's New? Announcing the all-new PoE Lighting Pavilion—an impressive section of the show floor dedicated to specialized Power over Ethernet products and services. This 2020 Winter Conference exclusive gives attend- ees a dedicated area to view demonstra- tions and talk one-on-one with multiple exhibitors—all experts in the benefits of delivering data and power over a single Ethernet cable. BICSI is currently taking exhibitor applications for the PoE Lighting Pavilion. Spaces are limited and available first-come, first-served. Find out more and apply at bicsi.org/winter/exhibitors. Also new to the Winter Conference is the Technology Showcase. In this exclusive area of the Exhibit Hall, exhibitors will showcase their newest and most innovative products and services representing a range of ICT- related fields. Attendees can then cast their vote for Best in Show in a variety of product categories. The application for the Technol- ogy Showcase is available here. The dead- line to apply is 22 November 2019. More Content, More Knowledge After receiving the highest number of technical paper submissions of any BICSI conference to date for the 2019 BICSI Fall Conference, it was decided that the 2020 Winter Conference Program would be expanded by Nine Additional Technical Sessions. Topics cover a broad range of ICT subject areas, some of which include: • New & Emerging Technologies, such as 5G • Intelligent Buildings / Smart Cities / Internet of Things (IoT) • Power over Ethernet (PoE) • Data Center Design, Maintenance and Operations • Audiovisual • Wireless and Distributed Antennae Systems • Optical Fiber & Passive Optical Networks (PON) • ICT Professional Development Increased content means increased knowledge; but it doesn't all come from the technical sessions. Our Exhibit Hall offers something for everyone. We expect a packed show floor, filled with industry leaders from many different segments of the ICT industry. Distributors, manufacturers, suppliers, designers and many other types of professional organizations will be there to show attendees how to grow their busi- ness and attract new clients. View the conference schedule here. Traditional Winter Conference Favorites If you've ever been to a BICSI Winter Con- ference, you know that with it comes a few extra conference highlights. The following are Winter Conference traditions and attendee favorites: Attend the Annual Membership Meeting on Tuesday, 11 February, to watch the Induc- tion of the New BICSI Board of Directors. (See page 5 for Election Results.) Outgoing BICSI President Jeff Beavers, RCDD, OSP, will officially pass the torch to incoming President Todd W. Taylor, RCDD, NTS, OSP. Get ready for the excitement of the Annual BICSI Cabling Skills Challenge. Now in its 13th year, the Challenge brings together some of the best installers and technicians in the industry to compete in a variety of installation activities. Each year at the Winter Conference, BICSI honors individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the ICT indus- try. (See page 6 for a list of awards.) The Annual Awards Banquet on Wednesday, 12 February, includes an elegant dinner and an evening of entertainment, allowing attendees and exhibitors to interact socially and network after hours. At the center of it all is Constant Networking. Whether you're chatting with your neighbor before a technical session begins, discussing the latest trends with an exhibitor or asking a speaker a follow-up question, there are continuous opportunities to make new connections. The 2020 BICSI Winter Conference offers so much. And if you register before 10 January 2020, you can take advantage of Early Bird Pricing.
