FIRST PLACE / SMALL TRADITIONAL BATH
Creating a bathroom with a nod to the industrial
era was the goal for this beautiful bathroom.
The client wanted something fun, fresh and
masculine for their son's bathroom.
The appeal for an industrial bathroom is the
sharp contrast of the black and white tones,
which feels classic and timeless. The idea was
to avoid over-decorating and adorning the
bathroom. Instead, we opted for an unfussy
look, going back to basics with simple and
classic finishes. For the walls of the shower and
bathroom perimeter, we introduced hand made
porcelain tiles installed in a brick pattern, while
on the floors, we carried the classic basket-
weave pattern in black and white on the
bathroom floor and inside the shower floor.
Drawing attention to the shower with its classic
brick laid tiles and the black and gold industrial
era-inspired shower fittings was one of the key
focal points, therefore, we customized a shower
enclosure in a black metal frame and glass.
We opted for a custom vanity, playing on the
simplicity and the function, allowing the home-
owner to tuck away all their bathroom products
in the generous storage compartments complete
with doors and drawers.
By adding subtle elements of warm gold
finishes and soft classic accents, we kept the
design of this bathroom feeling cozy and inviting.
