Redstone's annual First Responders
Appreciation Luncheon became a drive-through
event in October due to restrictions caused by
the coronavirus.
Each year, Redstone team members barbeque
savory meats and pair them with all the fixings
as a way to acknowledge the service that first
responders in North Alabama provide.
e response was incredible! More than 750
meals were preordered, representing eight
different agencies. Meals and thank-yous
were handed out at the special pick-up area.
Get that essay ready! Applications are now being
accepted for Redstone's Scholarship Program.
It's Redstone's 25th year offering scholarships
to students attending two-year and four-year
schools. Students receive up to $5,000 each.
Over the past five years, Redstone has paid out
$340,300 in scholarship money to more than
75 members.
To apply, students must be a primary
accountholder with Redstone.
e application deadline is February 28, and
the application must be completed online at
redfcu.org/scholarship.
Applicants must be accepted to or enrolled in an accredited college or universit y to qualify
for the scholarship. Applicants must be pursuing an associate's or a bachelor's degree.
