Researchers at Purdue create cloud-based platform to aid in sustainable manufacturing WEST LAFAYETTE, IN—Engineer- ing researchers at Purdue University have developed a collaborative cloud- based platform to aid in sustainable manufacturing. Shweta Singh, an assis- tant professor at Purdue's College of Engineering, and her team developed a new method for automated creation of physical input-output tables to track flows in manufacturing networks. The cloud-based platform can be used to map inter-industry dependence net- works for materials and waste generation among manufacturers involved in chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and other biobased economies.
