They wanted an attractive, functional outdoor space that they could entertain in and enjoy on quiet evenings. The scope of the project was to create a new outdoor space that flowed into the newly renovated basement of the house. The project includes an outdoor entertainment area, outdoor kitchen, a spacious patio with a fire pit, and ample storage. The landscape was completely renovated with native and perimeter plantings. The final result is a space with continuous flow from the finished basement to the extravagant outdoor entertainment area. G R E E N — R E S I D E N T I A L E X T E R I O R S DECKS AND MORE, INC. SMYRNA, GEORGIA The clients wanted low-maintenance products, a clear view of the pool, and green solutions for the porch, deck and patio areas of their home. Green Solutions include LED lighting, PVC trim, composite decking with hidden fasteners, reuse of the old framework for Y-bracing on the porch, and glass railings. The obstacles overcome include reusing the porch framework and hiding electrical wiring. Now, new glass panels provide a clear view to the pool from the lower-level patio. The new porch interior includes a beadboard ceiling and tile floor, and the deck features aluminum railings with PVC columns and composite decking installed on the diagonal. 2021 COTY AWARDS PART 2
