The original bathroom was brought to life by
streamlining and opening the design. The
homeowner wanted to enlarge the room, but
the floor plan did not allow it. Her garden tub
was replaced by a large tiled shower with a seat
and pebble mosaic floor. Natural light now
washes through the large privacy window,
across the glass enclosure, and throughout the
room. Storage capacity was increased with
drawer banks. By reducing walls that obstructed
sight lines, the whole room is now visible from
almost anywhere one stands. A delicate
chandelier adds a sense of enchantment to an
otherwise forgotten space.

The clients' English cottage was disconnected
from the backyard with a closed-off and dark
kitchen, and their growing family was running out
of room. A two-story addition at the back of the
home expanded the kitchen outward and
connected it to the backyard with a folding patio
door and new covered deck. The addition includes
a new stair tower, which allowed for a new layout
to the cramped second floor. A new master suite
and two fully remodeled bathrooms were
completed as well. As a result, the family's home
experience has completely changed, from meal
time to outdoor play.
