This second-story bathroom addition honors the character and architectural style of a 1921 St. Paul classic. Built above the main-floor sunroom and around the chimney, the windows and architectural details create continuity inside and out. The design maximizes the small footprint and incorporates era- specific details. Six double-hung windows "bathe" the space in natural light. This project is a seamless and artful addition to a 100-year-old home. B A S E M E N T O V E R $ 2 5 0 , 0 0 0 ONEIDA BUILDERS, INC. DUNWOODY, GEORGIA A spacious basement full of potential and a family desiring function, fun and convenient poolside living were the makings of this project. The design features a section with an outdoor shower, laundry, dressing room and indoor baths. In the adjacent area is a complete kitchen, bar and game space. The welcoming media room captivates with a glowing fireplace framed by precisely veined porcelain and is adjacent to the glass- walled gym. Details abound, including marble mosaics, craftsman mill-work, a cat door, red penny tile, Lilliputian sink, automated dog door, mirror-concealed electrical, and rustic double doors. The clients are overjoyed. Why ever go upstairs?
