Engum. "e addition of a fashion show a few years back is a prime
example of that. It featured artists who design clothing."

songwriter performances, originals, and legacy groups with amateurs and
experts, as well as Native American dancers.
Western Art Week is educational as well as entertaining. ere are artist
lectures, symposiums, and technique workshops. Youth educational
opportunities include essay contests and young art scholarships.
Artists can compete for awards and participate in panel discussions.
Competition events such as Quick Draws, Quick Finishes, and others
allow visitors to watch artists in action.
"I really like watching Pollo Loco perform, learning about the high
school artists and seeing their work, and watching the quick finishes," says
Engum. "I enjoy how Western Art Week expands the definition of art and
supports all kinds of art."
