is year, Keith McMasters' sold-out edition of Sun River
Cowboy, a 43" x 14" x 16" bronze, will be on the auction block. K.
McMasters inscribed this particular piece as #7/25.
McMasters was fascinated with Native Americans since his early
youth. Growing up on the Washington-Idaho border near the Nez
Perce Indian Reservation, Keith had the opportunity to witness
firsthand a culture so rich in heritage that it was captured in his
mind for decades and found its way into the imagery of
his bronzes.
Among the eclectic items to be auctioned during the auction are
a 7'4" x 4'7" Navajo Rug from around 1900 and a Sioux 16 ¾" long
Pipe Tomahawk with a mid-18th century head made of
cast brass.
"Yes, we have high-end work by our favorite long-time artists, but
we also have contemporary items, especially from new artists with a
future, that will be auctioned, "said Ron Nicklas, Event Partner from
Coeur d' Alene Galleries.
In addition to the live auction, interested buyers can place bids
using icollector, the March in Montana app, id.marchinmontana.
