The clients wanted to expand their
living space downward into their
unfinished basement. While the space
would serve as a family rec room most
of the time, they also wanted it to
transform into an apartment for their
parents during extended visits. The
project needed to incorporate a full
bathroom and laundry. The clients
now have a beautiful basement that
significantly expands the size of their
living space and gives their loved ones
a beautiful private suite to enjoy when
they come to visit – inspiring more
frequent visits!

These repeat clients wanted to finish the
last piece of their nearly complete remodel.
Built circa 1918, their home had been
extensively remodeled several years earlier.
The only unfinished piece from the initial
remodel was the lower level. The clients, avid
entertainers, wanted to turn the lower level
into a multi-use space that would feature an
industrial look and include a dry bar, media
room, and cellar for their wine collection.
Priorities shifted when the COVID-19
pandemic began, and the lower-level space
became the ideal sanctuary when truly getting
away wasn't an option.
