40 International Ministries W hen they began meeting for weekly Bible studies four years ago, members of the Fiji Parliament were so enthusiastic with the in-depth teaching that they vowed never to cancel their studies, even if overburdened by affairs of the State. at promise has been kept even through COVID-19 meeting restrictions. Unable to meet in person, the members gathered in front of their personal computers at different locations and met remotely on the Internet to study God's Word. at dedication was heralded by Inoke Kubuabola, former Fiji parliamentarian, Cabinet member, and foreign ambassador, who founded the CapMin Bible study in 2017 shortly aer being named CapMin's volunteer global di- rector for the South Pacific. "By the grace of God, the Fiji CapMin Bible study is going well," he said. "We continue to meet every Wednesday morning at 7:30 a.m. before the MPs (members of Parliament) go to Parliament. Because of COVID restrictions on movement and gatherings, we have been having weekly Bible studies on Zoom. We look forward to restrictions being lied so we can have face to face meet- ings again." e studies are led by e Rev. Aporosa Rageci and e Rev. Isireli Kacimaiwai. Aer deciding not to run for re-elec- tion to Parliament in 2018, Kubuabola was selected by Fiji's Prime Minister to be his special envoy to the Pacific Islands Forum of 18 member countries including Australia and New Zealand. "With this work God has placed me in, I'm in touch with heads of States and heads of governments," he said. With a career spent in the political arena, Kubuabola was already well-networked. His various positions in govern- ment over the years have widened his circle and enabled him to meet people in the political realm who are eager to begin Bible study ministries to leaders in their own island nations. While continuing COVID restrictions have delayed prog- ress, discussions are ongoing about launching ministries in the independent nations of Solomon Islands, Nauru, and Vanuatu. Kubuabola has been passionate about our minis- try and its mission since he found Capitol Ministries on the Internet and reached out to us through our website in 2017. Since then, he has established the ministry in Fiji and in sev- eral other island nations. "It has been very encouraging to see the positive response from our Pacific Islands' political leaders. It has been over- whelming the way God is quickening the ministry. We see the favor of God move amongst our leaders, and we believe this is the new season for our beloved nation of Fiji."
