State Capitol Ministries 5 is year, as we celebrate CapMin's 25th anniversary, I am thinking back on the blessing that this ministry has been to so many people and the blessing you have been to us. I am thankful to God for His guidance that has enabled us to grow from a single ministry to legislators in the California Capitol to a world-wide ministry with plantings on four continents. It sounds like a sim- ple objective, to take the Word of God into the halls of government. But the obstacles have been many, and repeatedly, with God's leading and guidance, we have persevered. In this, our 25th year, our ministry leaders are teaching the Bible to parliamentarians and other political leaders at all levels of gov- ernment on foreign shores, to legislators and constitutional officers in states across this beautiful nation, and to local leaders who govern in neighborhoods throughout America. And I am leading three Bible studies to na- tional political leaders in Washington, D.C. I marvel at all the people we will not know about this side of heaven who came to Christ through our ministry leaders. I am grateful for all those public servants who matured in their faith by consis- tently participating in weekly Bible studies. e increase of Capitol Ministries is both awesome and hum- bling. All glory to God. We've been laboring now for a quarter of a cen- tury, but it has not felt like toil. It's been a joyful journey blessed with faithful prayer partners and supporters. I've so oen marveled at how God has opened so many doors—doors that we didn't even realize could open. is year was no exception. Even though COVID-19 slowed the world down to a great degree, in 2021 we saw God's hand of blessing in amazing ways. We are particularly grateful for the committed ministry lead- ers we welcomed this year. It seems that the longer CapMin is in ministry, the bet- ter qualified ministry leaders we attract. Highly qualified and excellent Bible-teaching evangelists have been raised up by God, trained by us, and placed in foreign federal capitol ministry positions in the countries of Malawi, Ethiopia, Kenya, South Africa, People's Republic of the Congo, Bolivia, and Panama. Looking to Europe, CapMin continues to seek opportunities to further our mission across the continent. at objective took a major leap this year when we appointed Slavik Rimski as global director for Western and Eastern Europe. Slavik is the son of a faithful pastor in Odessa and the grandson of a man who was sent to a Siberian prison for 10 years for preaching the gospel in Russia. at lineage of spiritual maturity, wrought from persecution, resides in Slavik. We are so grateful that God has called him to work together with us! Building on that momentum, God has raised up Valeriu Ghiletchi to be our Ministry Leader in the European Union and Parliament Assembly of the Council of Europe. Valeriu is well connected for this assignment, having been a par- liamentarian in Moldova for many years, as well as a strong, soul-winning Baptist pastor. Closer to home, Brian Solomon has been appointed global North America director to oversee existing ministries and increase our mission throughout the United States and Canada. Brian will continue his fine personal ministry, along with Brian Hansen, co-lead- ing the weekly Bible study to legislators in the Ohio Statehouse. roughout our 25 years of ministry in the United States, CapMin has established 43 Bible-study-based ministries to members of as many state legislatures. Slavik and Brian join Oscar Zamora, global director for Latin America (and acting director for the Caribbean); Inoke Kubuabola, global director for the South Dear CapMin Partners,
