Black Tie Affair
With this particular project, the goals were to create a space that more
closely aligned with the clients' style, and to optimize the space for both
everyday function and entertainment. However, the size of the space is
interrupted by a primary path of egress to the rest of the home. The
design team's solution was to create a comfortable, functional kitchen on
one side of the egress and an entertainment area on the other. This
allowed the space to feel more intimate and scaled-down while keeping
it large enough to entertain guests.
