Mercer and recognizes an individual with an exemplary career in inhalable materials and medicinal aerosols. It is awarded every year and pre- sented to the winner during the ISAM Congress or the AAAR annual meeting. Collaborations and partnerships for 2023 Looking ahead in 2023, ISAM remains in contact with other societies to identify opportunities for collaborations and coordina- tion of joint activities. e ISAM Regulatory and Standards Work- ing Group has partnered with the American Association of Phar- maceutical Sciences Inhalation and Nasal Community (AAPS INC) and the International Pharmaceutical Aerosol Consor- tium on Regulation & Science (IPAC-RS) to develop a 3-hour pre-conference workshop to the 2023 ISAM Congress. Further, all ISAM board mem- bers represent ISAM at events they attend, e.g., those orga- nized by the American oracic Society (ATS), European Respi- ratory Society (ERS), Association for Aerosol Research (GAeF)— Germany, the German Aerosol erapy Symposia (DATS) and the Aerosol Society/Drug Deliv- ery to the Lungs (DDL)–UK. In addition, ISAM supported the 7th Pulmonary Drug Delivery Workshop, organized by Carsten Ehrhardt, which took place in Dublin, Ireland in April 2022 and was attended by an international group of 73 PhD students, post- docs, academics and participants from the pharmaceutical industry.
