The International Society for Aerosols in Medicine (ISAM) promotes and advances aerosol science internationally, focusing on health effects of inhaled aerosols including inhaled drug delivery for prevention and treatment of human disease. 6 February 2023 Inhalation CROSS-INDUSTRY Organizations nal of ISAM. Its 2021 Journal Impact Factor (JIF) has formally been announced, and we are thrilled to report the new JIF is 3.440 (an increase of 21% over the 2020 impact factor). is wonderful news is a testament to the hard work carried out over the past few years on behalf of the journal. In addition, the 2021 Citation Score (CiteScore) for the journal increased by 6%, from 4.8% to 5.1%. Congratu- lations to all authors, editors and the Liebert team! (Bridge- water, New Jersey), received the 2022 omas T. Mercer Award in recognition of his significant con- tribution to the field of inhaled their participation, represent- ing the clinical, industrial and academic communities. Similar to previous ISAM meetings, we are welcoming senior and early career scientists from a variety of disciplines. e conference will be preceded by a one-day work- shop, with an attractively priced combination ticket. We present inter- national scientific congresses and symposia and build a research network. ese activities foster international cooperation, edu- cation and dissemination of new research results, through our journal and webinars. ISAM also cooperates worldwide with many partner societies. ISAM Congress 2023: An update e program for the upcoming ISAM Congress 2023, to be held August 26-30 in Saarbrücken, Germany, has taken shape. e scientific committee has put together an exciting program, emphasizing infectious diseases, pulmonary drug delivery and complex in vitro models, also fea- turing clinical aspects of aerosols in disease and age, inhaled bio- therapeutics and health effects of aerosol exposure.
