Hello again fellow ICT stakeholders. I hope all of you had a good holiday season and your 2023 is off to a great start. Once again, we had the BICSI Winter Conference in Tampa FL, from 5-9 February. It covered many exciting topics in the ICT industry and I hope you all made it out. It was a great week of networking with so many talented ICT individuals who contribute to the success of this industry for us all. One of the great things about the conference is that there is something for everyone in ICT. Some of my personal favorite topics were: • Pushing Past 100M: the Need for Beyond Standards Testing, Verification, and Validation • How Do we Eliminate the Dividing Line of Power? A discussion about line voltage and low-voltage workforce convergence • What are Converged Wireless Networks and Why are They Gaining Momentum. • Cellular 5G/6G vs Wi-Fi 6/6E/7 These topics caught my attention because my current employer, G&G Systems, specializes in DAS and Wi-Fi. We understand the daily changes in these areas and know how important testing, verification, and validation are to a properly installed system. I appreciate how BICSI continues to pull together industry experts from all corners of the ICT world to create a relevant conference for so many of us who focus on different disciplines. Exciting things continue to evolve with BICSI, and I can finally announce we will be having an in-person regional event in Everett, WA on Friday, 28 April. The sponsor will be Fluke Networks, and I am excited to see their new products. As of this month, I will be starting my third year representing you at BICSI and I truly enjoy talking to our members, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you would like to discuss anything related to BICSI and ICT. The industry is rapidly changing, and we all need to evolve with it. Please reach out and let me know your thoughts.
