Message From Your Global Regional Director Message From Your EMEA Regional Director Greetings fellow BICSI members. I hope this message finds you and yours healthy. Welcome to the first BICSI Brief of 2023. I hope you enjoy reading it. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank my predecessor, Ninad Desai, RCDD, NTS, OSP, TECH, CT for his contributions to BICSI and to our In these uncertain times due to financial ups and downs, inflation, wars, and material shortage, BICSI is staying strong and celebrating the 50 years since the first conference. This is the time where your credentials count. Look around you and notice how RCDDs seem to maintain industry as a whole. It has been great working with Ninad during our Board meetings. It is my privilege to follow in his footsteps as the next Global Regional Director. If there's anything I can do to help you with BICSI or anything related to our industry, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I will do my best to help you. One more BICSI Winter Conference has now come to a conclusion. I hope you had the opportunity to join us in Tampa and that you attended the many sessions available. If you didn't make it to Tampa, ICT Direct Winter 2023 is available as of 22 February and runs until 22 March. ICT Direct Winter 2023 is a great way to fulfill the conference requirement if you have a BICSI credential. I hope over the course of my term as Global Regional Director our paths will cross either in person or virtually. Whether you are travelling, staying close to home, or spending time with family and friends, stay safe and stay well. While writing this letter, the advertisement of the EMEA BICSI-endorsed event in Dubai has just started, and we're finalizing details on the Mainland Europe Italy conference in Milan. So, by the time this is published I hope you'll have registeredfor at least one of those. It's been tough keeping BICSI EMEA alive without events for two years, and we thank our EMEA members for staying with us. Now we're looking forward to a far brighter future for our region. On the technology side, things are getting interesting with 5G, edge data centers, and single pair Ethernet creating new business opportunities. You can count on BICSI to provide the latest news and events to help you understand these new markets.
