Class will move through the Brain Dance warm up sequence (used to strengthen the 8 developmental movement patterns of the brain) and introduce young children to the dance class setting where they can build connections with their caregiver, teacher, and peers. Adults and children wear clothes you can move in and barefeet or socks (no shoes). Adults will participate with their dancers as they leap, twirl, spin and perform in class. Dance class attire is leotard, tights and ballet shoes (girls), T-shirt, shorts and ballet shoes (boys). Adults wear clothing you can move in and barefeet or socks (no shoes). All activities will revolve around the ballet themes. Tiny dancers will have a magical time swirling and twirling with their grownup. Dancers will leap, twirl, and spin in an imaginative environment with props and music and movement games. Dance class attire is leotard, tights and ballet shoes. Dancers attend without parent and must be potty trained. Class participates in Summer Dance Showcase on Wednesday, August 9 at Harrer Park Shelter/Pavilion. LOC: PVCC Dance Studio MIN/MAX: 6/10 FEE: R $104/NR $130 *No Class 07/06 CODE DAY DATE TIME 310605-01 Th 6/8-8/3* 4:45-5:30 pm DANIEL TIGER DANCE CAMP ADVENTURE Ages 3-4 Daniel Tiger and his friends are making a stop at our Dance Studio this summer! In this tiger-tastic camp, dancers will sing, dance, and explore creative movement through obstacle courses, games, and a Trolley themed scavenger hunt around the neighborhood! Each day will include craft, song, and making new friends. (Participants must be potty-trained.) LOC: PVCC Dance Studio MIN/MAX: 6/12 FEE: R $65/NR $81 per class CODE DAY DATE TIME 310611-01 M,W 6/12-6/14 9:30 am-12:00 pm 310611-02 M,W 7/17-7/19 9:30 am-12:00 pm TEENY JAZZ/TAP COMBO Ages 4-6 Dancers will learn the basics of jazz and tap terminology and technique while they move, groove, and shake in this energetic and creative class. Focus is on dance class etiquette, collaboration, movement and music games, and fun dances to favorite music. Students perform in the Summer Dance Showcase on Wednesday, August 9 at Harrer Park. Proper dance attire is required for class.
