We offer support and motivation to our young savers all year long with incentives to save, fun activities, and free use of the coin-counting machines in our branches. During the month of April, open your child's first savings account using the code YOUTH, and Redstone will match the average daily balance – up to $100! Offer ends April 30, 2023. Celebrating Our Young Savers Redstone is excited to have won a statewide award for its financial literacy work with clients of the Downtown Rescue Mission in Huntsville. Redstone received the Desjardins Adult Financial Education Award from the League of Southeastern Credit Unions (LSCU) & Affiliates and the Credit Union National Association (CUNA). is award recognizes leadership within the credit union movement on behalf of financial literacy for members and nonmembers of all ages. "CEO Joe Newberry and the team at Redstone Federal Credit Union are further proof that the credit union philosophy of 'people helping people' is front and center in the state of Alabama," said Patrick La Pine, CEO of LSCU & Affiliates. "Redstone Federal Credit Union created a financial education program called 'e Road to Financial Empowerment' to help men and women in the community who are currently looking for housing or transitioning between homes. Credit union employees teach this 12-week curriculum at the Downtown Rescue Mission for those in emergency, recovery, and transitional programs who need help with their finances," said La Pine in a press release. e annual CUNA Awards bestow the highest honors to credit unions that are making a difference around the country.
