This is a very fun and exciting time to be a veterinary professional, yet we can feel angst and worry when we hear about new technology in the veterinary pipeline. Listen, it often takes us months or even years for us to consider changing to a different flea, tick, and heartworm preventive, let alone adapting a new technology into our day to day lives. Innovation Can Be Scary! The veterinary profession tends to be slow to adapt to change in technology. We tend to "let the other practice use it first and see how it goes" kind of culture. But we really shouldn't have that mindset because we are data- and evidence-based scientists. Sometimes the innovation is not there yet, or we are afraid to accept the innovation or new technology. We should strive to gain a better sense of understanding for how we can implement new technology for the greater good of our patients! NEW!
