MDI canister coating Big changes are coming, especially related to future per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) bans. Biomerics can help you stay out in front of them with our new, patent pending, 100% PFAS-free metered dose inhaler (MDI) canister coating. So far, pharma- ceutical test results show equivalency to current PFAS coatings. Please reach out to us and let us know how we can support your MDI projects. Nasal casts provide cost-effective and rapid means for evaluating nasal deposition in a human-realistic man- ner. Studies follow the Proveris by Design™ process to measure the effects of human-usage parameters (insertion angle, insertion depth and patient- specific breathing) on regional deposition. Performing these studies during early development reduces the risk of late-stage failures by creating a product that can be used correctly by the intended patient in clin- ical studies and beyond. In light of the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol and increasing focus on environmental, social, and corporate gover- nance (ESG) themes in general, many pharmaceu- tical companies are looking at re-formulating these products with newer, greener propellant technologies. Intertek uses over 30 years of experience with pMDIs to provide support for the formulation and analytical testing required for these technical programs.
