RECAP E V E N T S 16th Annual Cabling Skills Challenge Installer 1 Technician This year's Cabling Skills Challenge was electric, as 14 BICSI Installers and Technicians competed in a series of hands-on ICT cabling tasks in areas involving copper and fiber terminations, OTDR troubleshooting, mechanical splicing, and more. In addition, attendees and spectators got in on the fun with exhibitor-hosted Speed Challenges! Prizes were awarded as always, including U.S.$5,000 to the 2024 BICSI Installer of the Year. Filled with more than 120 exhibitors, the Exhibit Hall buzzed with a wide variety of ICT organizations showing off the latest products and solutions. Companies represented a variety of manufacturers and distributors, with services ranging from voice/data solutions to cable management systems and much more. BICSI CaresĀ®, BICSI's charitable corporation, chose to benefit the Live for Brie Foundation this Winter Conference. Live for Brie is a nonprofit organization that is committed to preventing children from drowning and helping, through financial and emotional support, those families who have lost a child in a drowning accident. A donation was presented to the charity just before the Conference's conclusion.
