A Happy Home — We had the opportunity to
transform a dated 1980s cookie-cutter home
into a stunning space that promotes happiness
and well-being, creating an organized environ-
ment tailored for a family of five with clinical
ADHD, ensuring that every area fosters focus,
creativity, and joy.
One of the primary challenges we encountered
with the pantry was to optimize the space
adjacent to the kitchen. Our aim was to preserve
the kitchen's original location and size for design
continuity with the living room.
While our clients expressed a desire for an
additional storage/pantry, it was crucial for us to
design a pantry that felt proportionate to the
home's 3,300 sq ft.
Additionally, we wanted the pantry to maintain
an understated appearance, so that it wouldn't
be immediately recognizable as a pantry to
anyone glancing into the space. The client
wanted to avoid the hassle of a door that would
require constant opening and closing but also
did not want to see pantry items while working in
the main kitchen.
Our design solution revitalized an underutilized
dining room, transforming it into a functional
butler's pantry with a convenient pass-through
from the kitchen. By strategically utilizing the
windows, we infused the space with natural light,
creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Our design strikes a perfect balance between
style and functionality. There's plenty of room for
small appliances, along with tall built-in shelves
that keep everything organized and visible.
