72 72 D I R E C TO R DR. RANDY ADAMS WASHINGTON, D.C. Aer preparing in November 2025 to lead the three Washington, D.C., Bible studies (with a fourth group being those who Zoom into the White House Cabinet Study), Paula and I began in D.C. the first week of December. On December 2 we met with a gathering of Senators, then on December 3 with White House Cabinet members and state governors (via Zoom), followed by a Bible study with House members on December 4. Having not attended these Bible studies before my first time to teach them, I had a bit of a learning curve as to how each group functions. One thing we quickly learned is that every attender really values gathering with colleagues for Bible study. A second thing we quickly learned is that many attenders know their Bibles quite well, while others don't know the Bible well, but all have a strong desire to know God's Word and how it applies to their life and work. Virtually all who attend participate in the ample discussion each group enjoys. Asking good questions is nearly as important as teaching the meaning of the text. Some of the discussion has led to members sharing personal matters, which reflects a level of trust in each other. One of the Bible study groups told us that there has never been a "leak" from the Bible study, this, despite party differences, and other political differences, but such is the commitment of the members to treat Bible study as a sacred trust. Multiple members have shared with us that they have experienced threats. One had over two dozen shots fired into their house, and as the Bible study was about to start, was on the phone because a man with a rifle was spotted on their property. at led others to share steps they have taken to protect their families. e day before writing this report, a congress member texted us, asking for prayer, because they had received "credible threats" on their family and business because of a vote they casted "this week." Another said they moved out of their house with their family and is in the process of moving into a gated community because 72
