74 74 D I R E C TO R DR. RANDY COVINGTON NORTH AMERICA 2025 YEAR END REPORT I have been associated with this ministry since 2020 when we a planned to launch our capitol ministry in Alaska. Covid 19 postponed that plan, and we finally began in 2023. Following retirement in 2025, I began serving part- time with Capitol Ministries as North America Director. e last three months of 2025 was a period of moving to Arizona and learning about this new role. Let me begin with some statistics about the work among our state capitols. We currently have the following : • 28 active CapMin State Ministry Leaders • 25 states with active CapMin Bible studies • 12 states with Bible studies led by other than CapMin leaders • 9 states that do not have any kind of Bible study to my knowledge Unfortunately, we have had two recent retirements: Mike Beresford, our ministry leader in Wisconsin, and Keith Pugh in Alabama. THREE MAJOR AREAS OF FOCUS 1. New Ministry Launches ese are the anticipated launches for 2026: • Nevada—Wayne Hoag has agreed to restart the Bible study that was started by Dan Madison in Carson City, Nevada. • Georgia—I am planning to connect with Dan Perdue, son of former Governor Sonny Perdue. I have also met Eric Myers who is planning to plant a church in Georgia and is interested in ministering to legislators. • Wisconsin—I have communicated with Trey Turner, SBC state executive who has some recommendations for potential leaders. Paul Tittl, Wisconsin state representative, is leading the Bible study currently. • Mississippi—I have some potential candidates and some great contacts and am working with Shawn Parker to launch a ministry in 2026. 74
