Film coaters
VHC Hi-Coater Series L tablet coaters have standard pan diameters—48, 60, and
66 inches—but are elongated, allowing you to run batches that use as little as 25
percent of rated maximum volume. Thus, 48-inch unit with 350-liter capacity coats
as much as 280 kilograms (kg) and as little as 70 kg; 60-inch unit with 1,000-liter
capacity coats as much as 800 kg and as little as of 200 kg without any changes to
coater. Machines ensure uniform coatings, operate consistently, and apply aqueous
and solvent-based films, and, optionally, sugar coatings. Equipped with fully perfo-
rated, anti-mark pans, coaters include removable anti-slide baffles, anti-bearding
spray guns, and color touch screen. CIP skid is optional.

Combination processor
SolidLab 1 processor mixes, coats, and
performs fluid-bed drying and granula-
tion. Three interchangeable processing
modules share HVAC system, controls,
and interface, minimizing footprint and
operator training. Fully perforated, side-
vented coating pan allows effective dry-
ing and low-temperature operation.
Opticoat spray gun prevents clogs.
Fluid-bed module uses top spray and/or
bottom spray. Diskjet tangential air dif-
fusion provides fluidization for homoge-
nous coating and fast processing. Batch
sizes range from 0.05 to 2 kilograms.
Modules replicate production-scale ves-
sels, easing scale-up. Options include
automatic operation, data recording and
export, trend depiction, and compatibil-
ity with 21 CFR Part 11.
