New CDMO combines DSM, Patheon, and Banner DURHAM, NC—DPx Holdings, a joint venture of JLL Partners and Royal DSM, launched a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) that com- bines the products and technologies of DSM Pharmaceutical Products, Patheon, and Banner Life Sciences. BASF joint venture begins manufacturing bio-based succinic acid LUDWIGSHAFEN, Germany— Succincity, a joint venture of Corbion Purac and BASF dedicated to the manufacture and commercial- ization of bio-based succinic acid, has started its first commercial pro- duction facility. The plant, located at Corbion Purac's site in Montmeló, Spain, has an annual capacity of 10,000 metric tons. Succinic acid is used as a dietary supplement and in bio-polymers, coatings, and life-sci- ence products. PSL opens office in Australia LIVERPOOL, UK—PSL, which supplies filtration, drying, and con- tainment equipment, opened an office in West Perth, Australia, to serve the Asia Pacific region, exclud- ing India.
