Terathertz spectrometer
TAS7500 terahertz pulsed spectrometer acquires character-
istic spectra based on crystalline structure and 3D images to
determine tablet coating thickness and uniformity. It also
non-destructively detects cracks and voids in tablet core, such
as from capping or chipping. Spectra allow you to measure
solid-phase transitions and crystalline/amorphous composi-
tion; imaging experiments allow you to determine the
strength properties of coatings and multi-layer interfaces of
tablets. Applications include monitoring change of scale of
film coating process by measuring film density and strength.
It uses all-electronic, fiber-optic architecture to boost speed
and reliability.

Leak tester
VeriPac 410 leak tester checks for seal integrity and leaks in
blister packs, sachets, and pouches with low headspace.
Tester combines vacuum-decay testing with differential-force
measurement to identify defective packages or blister cavi-
ties. Quantitative results provide definitive pass/fail criteria.
Unit tests multiple packages in one cycle and quickly
changes between blister formats without tools. Non-destruc-
tive testing allows you to return packages and products to
production line.

Tablet tester
Dr. Schleuniger Pharmatron SmartTest 50 semi-automatic
tablet tester measures weight, thickness, length, width, and
hardness. Nearly all tablet shapes can be tested in compliance
with pharmacopeial requirements. Tester's carousel accepts as
many as 23 tablets; alignment system automatically orients
oblong and oval tablets for width and length measurement
before hardness testing. Test data can be evaluated and printed
immediately or exported. Tester cleans tablet fragments from
all contact surfaces of hardness station after each measure-
ment. Multi-language color touch-screen with icon-driven
menu reduces operator training time. Unit retains and recalls
programs for testing as many as 100 products.
