90 90 Day 15 Disembark Budapest – Rome (B,D) After breakfast, it's time to farewell your fellow passengers and transfer to the airport for your morning fl ight to Rome (fl ight not included). Depending on your fl ight connections enjoy free time in the afternoon before boarding your Princess Cruise ship at Civitavecchia, which has served as the city's sea port since the 13th century. A warm welcome from your ship's crew as you settle into your balcony cabin, with an evening departure and your fi rst night's dinner on board. Day 16 Naples, Italy (B,L,D) Naples is Italy's 3rd largest city, famed for its stately buildings, bustling streets and the invention of pizza! It's ideal location makes it a perfect starting point to explore the nearby Amalfi Coast, famed for its steep cliffs, quaint seaside villages and windy steep roads. Mt Vesuvius stands proudly over the city, its famous eruption covering the former Roman town of Pompeii in ash in 1789. Visit the well preserved ruins and learn about roman life nearly 2000 years ago. Also nearby is the town of Sorrento, gateway to the Isle of Capri, home to Italian celebrities with its breath-taking views enjoyed from Hollywood style cliff top mansions. Day 17 At Sea (B,L,D) Sail around the foot of Italy through the narrow straits of Messina separating Italy and Sicily onto the Aegean Sea. Enjoy a day on board whilst sailing through the beautiful Greek Islands. Day 18 Crete, Greece (B,L,D) This morning arrive in the seaside port of Heraklion, the major town of the Greek island of Crete, best known as the gateway to the breath-taking 4,000 year old Minoan ruins of Knossos. Perhaps join a tour to this ancient ruin or enjoy free time in the town which fl ourished under Venetian rule from the 12th century, with reminders of their infl uence such as the Loggia, Venetian Walls and the Fountain of Morosini. Day 19 Kusadasi, Turkey (B,L,D) Arrive in the Turkish market town of Kusadasi famous for fresh seafood and sprawling bazaars. Enjoy free time in this lively port or join an excursion to the nearby preserved Roman ruins of Ephesus, once a provincial capital and trading centre. Major sites to visit are the Odeum, Celsus Library, the Temple of Hadrian, Fountain of Trajan and the remarkable amphitheatre which once had seating for 25,000 people. Day 20 Istanbul (B,L,D) Cruise along the Dardanelles Strait past Gallipoli to Istanbul. famous for its amazing bazaars and countless mosques. Maybe join a tour of the famous Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and Sultanahmet area, along with free time to visit the Grand Bazaar and Spice Market. This is your chance to try a Turkish bath or search for carpets.
