28 FEDA News & Views Reeder – To keep up with all of your news sources, there's no better RSS feed aggregator than Reeder. I open the app briefly before flights to sync hundreds of news stories to my iPad for offline reading. Silent Touch Timer – This is a niche app but is quite useful for anyone who does public speaking. Set the timer and a large countdown clock appears. The screen changes colors (green/red/orange) based upon your time remaining. It's a great way to stay on track and not run beyond the time allotted. BizXpenseTracker – Track all of your business expenses and take images of the receipts for expense reports. The OCR capability even reads and enters the receipt date and amounts for you. The software also generates a professional looking expense submission form for your accountant. Word/Excel/PowerPoint – For anyone who hasn't heard the news, these office essentials are now available for free so you can work on standard business documents on the go. Clear – This is a great app for making a quick list of items. It's more convenient than using a full-fledged task manage- ment app (such as Pocket Informant) for items like a quick shopping list.
