DEAN COLLEGE OF BUSINESS Indiana State University announces a nationwide search to recruit a new Dean for its College of Business. Founded in 1865, Indiana State University is a comprehensive, public university located in Terre Haute, Indiana. The Princeton Review named ISU one of the nation's "best value" colleges in 2007. Indiana State is one of only two institutions in Indiana, and only 62 in the nation, included in the Carnegie Foundation's new category of Curricular Engagement and Outreach & Partnerships. The university, which is a major contributor to the education milieu and economic development activities in the region, enrolls a total of approximately 10,700 students and offers more than 100 majors. The College of Business employs approximately 37 full-time faculty and staff and enrolls approxi- mately 1200 undergraduates and 45 MBA students. The College of Business is organized into two academic departments – the Organizational Department, which encompasses the Management, Management Information Systems, Marketing, and Business Education and Information Technology programs; and the Analytical Department, which includes the Accounting, Finance, Insurance and Risk Management, and Operations Management and Analysis programs. The College seeks a Dean to provide the leadership to integrate and enhance recent advancements and to further build the College's reputation, visibility, and influence. Reporting directly to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Dean is the chief administrative officer of the College and is charged with its effective daily management and with developing, articulating, and implementing its long-term strategic plan. While applications and nominations will be accepted until a new Dean is selected, interested parties are encouraged to send their materials to the address below by March 15 to receive optimal consideration.
