FACULTY POSITION Operations Management Cornell University School of Hotel Administration Ithaca, New York Position description: Applications are sought for two tenure track positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the area of operations management in the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University. Applicants should be proficient in and willing to teach the required undergraduate course in Service Operations Management. A previous background in the hospitality industry is not necessary. Teaching load is three courses per academic year for fac- ulty demonstrating strong research productivity. This position comes with excellent research support and a salary highly competitive with AACSB standards. Excellence in teaching and research is a must for tenure, as is the demonstration of service to the hospitality industry. Quality academic and applied research is valued within the School. Rank and salary: Each tenure track professorial position is a three year renewable appointment to begin Fall 2006. Rank and salary will be determined based upon academic achievement and experience. Peelen Professorship of Global Hospitality Strategy The School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University is accepting applications for a tenure-track faculty member for the Fred G. Peelen Chair in Global Hospitality Strategy Qualifications: Ideal candidates will currently hold the rank of associate or full professor, have an international reputation in strat- egy research, be able to effectively communicate with hospitality industry leaders, and have a strong record of teaching courses at the undergraduate, masters, Ph.D., and executive levels. A focus in hospitality or service industry issues is desired but not required. Candidate must be willing to develop expert knowledge of the international hospitality industry.
