8 FEDA News & Views Association Highlights Brad Pierce An Absolute Pleasure and Privilege to Serve Ray Herrick Executive Vice President ray@feda.com Need more information on how FEDA can help you? Contact me by phone at 800-677-9605 or by email. W hat an absolute pleasure and priv- ilege it has been to serve in the Brad Pierce FEDA Administration. Brad is truly a high-energy FEDA presi- dent and one who engaged the whole industry with a genuine smile and a heart of service. He has been extremely generous in the giving of his time to make things better for our members and the industry at large, and FEDA is better off for having experienced his brand of leadership. From the art of being a gracious ambassador for the industry to juggling multiple tasks 25,000 feet up in the air, I've learned so much from working alongside Brad for the past two years. In the last 24 months, he accomplished a great deal for our members and the industry. Consider the following: -Brad led the way to establish the new FEDA Data Interchange, which will ben- efi t the entire channel. -He continued FEDA's strong tradition of dealer-based distribution advocacy with an expanded recognition of excep- tional manufacturers. -Worked to resolve the Interior Design Issue with the IIDA, while still protect- ing FEDA members. -Pushed tirelessly and successfully to bring FEDA closer in communications with its association channel partners, NAFEM, MAFSI, FCSI and CFESA. -Spearheaded the recognition of Diamond Level FEDA Foundation sup- porters and the Foundation's many scholarship programs and education programs. There is a 100 percent renew- al rate for Diamond Donors in 2016! -Engaged more FEDA members (both large and small) and solicited board member involvement for ideas and input. -Authorized multiple sales training opportunities via webinars and a semi- nar at the NAFEM show, which was a huge hit! - Provided guidance and support to maintain a high degree of service in regards to FEDA's most popular educa- tional offerings (i.e., two great conven- tions with expanded speaker budget; two profi t surveys; one compensation survey; and articles in News & Views), which provided leadership and direc- tion to the membership and the industry. -Generously shared his tech savvy with FEDA members. I will miss Brad's calls from 25,000 feet up, or from anywhere in the world on any given day. I'm also thankful that I can count on his continued involvement in FEDA, 100 percent, at the leadership level. Most of all, I look forward to con- tinuing our strong friendship. Thank you Brad. Two Years Too Fast Individual commitment to a group effort—that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civili- zation work. (Vince Lombardi) Thank you Brad, Lori, Hunter and Landon. You have been a wonderful FEDA First Family!
