Detroit At the fi rst CMU Alumni Speaker Series at Schoolcraft Community College in Livonia in October, CMU professor Kent Miller and student Neil Blake took the audience through a photographic journey to Alaska's Denali National Park and Preserve. They showed incredible photos from the home of North America's highest peak, Mount McKinley. Also, nearly 800 alumni, fans and friends converged on Ford Field for a pregame reception before the MAC Championship football game Dec. 4. CMU fans were treated to the third MAC Championship in four years as CMU defeated the Bobcats of Ohio.

Florida Alumni in the Fort Lauderdale area gathered at Bru's Room Sports Grill in Coconut Creek for each televised football game during the 2009 season. They have had as many as 20 people for some games. The alumni range in age from recent grads to a graduate of the class of 1948! Also, alumni and friends gathered at Whiskey Joes in Tampa for
the GMAC Bowl watch party.
