Contact me by phone at 800-677-9605 or by email. J oe Schmitt hit the ground running when he stepped into the role of FEDA president in April. Here are a few key administration goals he is currently working on on behalf of the membership. -Tom Szafranski, formerly with ITW, was retained by FEDA after Joe's election for a three-month consulting project to help FEDA's offi cers and board better understand the needs of the mem- bership and our other constituents. Joe's goal is to give our members what they need in the most professional and conve- nient delivery system possible. It won't all happen overnight, but you can be sure that FEDA will make meaningful changes that you'll notice and appreci- ate by the time Joe's term is fi nished in the spring of 2018. -As you know, my retirement is sched- uled for April 1, 2018. Joe is the chair of the Search and Transition Committee, which has already begun its work on fi nding the next "Ray Herrick" to take on the position of FEDA Executive Vice President. This is a crucial responsibility, one that Joe and his committee are tak- ing very seriously. Of course there are many other admin- istration goals, but these fi rst two are a high priority on Joe's agenda and refl ect his desire to ensure that FEDA meets the needs of its very successful and diverse membership. Look for good things ahead for FEDA and its membership in the coming year!
