Student Life
Clubs
With almost 100 options,
students take part in clubs
to explore and develop their
interests, talents and skills.
Clubs run before and aer
school, and are connected to
subjects across the curriculum.
Many clubs compete in external
competitions, including Debate
and Model UN, and in the 2015-
16 school year we achieved
five state qualifications. On
Wednesdays, we host clubs
run by external providers, like
Taekwondo and cooking, as well
as student-led clubs. We also
offer booster sessions, which
provide homework help and
tutoring in individual subjects,
and a private music lesson
program taught by alumni from
The Juilliard School.
Athletics
Students benefit from a varied
athletics program that fosters
sportsmanship, competition
and discipline. As part of the
Chicago Area Middle Schools
League and Illinois High School
Association, the Bulldogs take
on teams across Chicago in
basketball, soccer and volleyball.
All students are welcome to
join our sports teams, and
everyone has a chance to play
during the season. We also offer
cheerleading and dance squads,
and take part in competitive
track & field and cross country
meets. Student athletes receive
dedicated and inspired coaching
from former professional
athletes in excellent facilities,
including our 9,000-square-
foot gym and outdoor soccer
pitch. We also host a basketball
academy and community soccer
league.
