he March In Montana Fine Art
and Collectibles Auction is not
new in 2017. The name is the
same; so are the types of fine
Western, sporting and wildlife art and
sculpture being displayed and sold at
their record-setting auctions.
Only the location and type of
dealer sales have changed. Held for
three decades at The Townhouse Inn,
the venue changes this year after the
Townhouse was sold and demolished in
2016. By moving to the Elks Lodge #214,
located at 500 1st Ave. S, the show will
go on, says Char Nelson, who coordi-
nates the show with her husband, Bob
Nelson. He is owner of Manitou Galleries
and senior partner of March in Montana.
A full-day preview happens Thurs-
day and Friday; Saturday morning the
preview continues until noon. Auctions
are at Noon Friday and Saturday. A Bou-
tique Dealer Show runs in conjunction
with the preview and auction sessions
Thursday through Saturday.
This is the 30th year that Manitou
Galleries of Cheyenne, Wyo. and Santa
Fe, N.M., and The Coeur D'Alene Art
Auction of Hayden, Ida., are working to-
gether to present auction previews and
Boutique Dealer Sales. There are also
Cowboy and Indian collectibles, which
