SignatureMT | 19 P erfectly groomed eyebrows balance your features and frame your eyes. Feathered, arched, bold or straight, eyebrows are arguably one of the most important facial feature. With many options available to create the perfect brow, including brow gels and pencils, you can often be left with a "painted "on appearance. Microblading is the newest trend in eyebrow enhancement, also known as eyebrow embroidery or feathering. This is a perfect for people who want to redesign their brows, add a slight arch, redefine the entire brow, cover gaps, or fill-in over plucked brows. Microblading is a form of tattoo artistry where pigment is implanted under your skin with a manual handheld tool instead of a machine. Microblading allows the placement of very fine crisp strokes. These strokes are so fine and crisp that they actually resem - ble eyebrow hair. Microblading is waterproof, smudge proof, and looks completely natural. Pigment will only be implanted into your first layer of the skin. As the bottom layers of your skin regenerate, you skin will naturally push out the pigment. It is therefore considered semi-permanent, unlike tattooing that pushes the ink much deeper in the skin making it more permanent and more solid. The result is a natural, hair-like stroke that will fade over time, with no lifelong commitment! Typically you can expect microblading to last one to three years. WHAT IS INVOLVED IN THE PROCEDURE? We like to begin each service with a thorough consultation. During your consultation, we will work within the parameters of your own natural brows to help create your dream eyebrow. A color will be chosen based on your skin tone and desired finished look. After agreeing on the shape and color, a topical anesthetic is applied to minimize discomfort. After the procedure is complete, you can expect very minor redness and swelling. Any redness should be gone in a few hours and tenderness should dissipate within a day or so of the procedure. Healing typically lasts 5-10 days that require you to care for your brows with a recov - ery balm and cleaning instructions. You may notice a light scabbing, flaking of skin, or itchiness as you heal. Four to six weeks after your first procedure, we will schedule you for a final "touch up" to ensure your brows are exactly how you want them. Studio Montage located in downtown Great Falls will begin taking microblading guest in May. Please call 406-452-3523 to schedule a consultation. During that time, you will be able to have a thorough consultation and look at our artist portfolio of before and afters. As a special gift to SignatureMT readers, we would like to offer you 25% off your service.
