to win The Del Monte Trophy Race, April 22, 1956.
The 750 Monza Ferrari is now owned by Patrick Ottis.
Ecstatic Carroll Shelby won the big race —
The Del Monte Trophy (modified cars over 1500cc)
in his Ferrari racing the 100.8 miles in one hour
24:18 with an average speed of 71.74, with
the fastest time of 102.8 mph, April 22, 1956.
