much throughout the entire stay--was how the Adelphi has
already become part of the local community. Our Uber driver
from the train station said, "It's without question the best
place in town." She seemed genuinely proud of the redesign
and that the new owners had stayed true to the Adelphi's
former principals. The hotel was, in her words, "classy and
sophisticated but in an extremely tasteful way." She wasn't
wrong.
Even on a gloomy day, you're automatically struck by the
commanding Victorian exterior, and inside by the 11-foot
ceilings and beautifully ornate staircase that climbs all four
floors. It's impressive without being intimidating in any way.

We decided to pop into Morrissey's for a light lunch
before checking into the room. Morrisey's is more than just
