The team is headed up by Director of Thor-
oughbred Racing Steve Lym, who developed
the idea for the concierge service three
years ago. The other staff members are Karl
Lagerborg, Manager of Stabling, Thorough-
bred Stakes Manager Julie Bell, and Rac-
ing Associate Martha Scott. Bell, who has
been working for Woodbine for 34 years,
grew into her role as the point person for
visiting horse people when the track host-
ed the Breeders' Cup in 1996. She is lauded
by horsemen for her attention to detail, in
particular entry into the country seamlessly
without any border issues. Everything from
helping to book airline flights, hotel accom-
modation, dining room seating, and any-
thing else relating to race-day experiences
are taken care of by Bell and Scott. And if
